Initial Consultation
To get started with Jumpstart Medicine, you will need to schedule an Initial Consultation at one of our offices. The initial consultation usually lasts one to one and a half hours. A Patient Educator will review the framework of the program with you. An electrocardiogram (EKG), comprehensive laboratory studies, and body composition analysis will also be performed. From this data, an individualized, need based weight reduction program is created. One of our physicians (and/or Physician Assistants on occasion) will review your Past Medical History, Weight Loss History, and current medications with you. We will also discuss pertinent motivators and any potential individual obstacles you may face in trying to reach your goal weight. Nutritional counseling is provided and a dietary regimen comprised of real food (no replacement meals or liquid diets at Jumpstart Medicine) is chosen. Safe and effective FDA approved weight reduction medication is often dispensed at this point. Limited exercise is prescribed and behavioral changes are explored.
Initial visit includes:
- Program consultation and qualification
- Measurement of weight, blood pressure, heart rate, height, waist circumference
- Body composition analysis
- Initial blood panels
- EKG (electrocardiogram)
- Supplemental Injection
- Physician consultation and program design
- Medication as necessary
- Multivitamin (30 day supply)
- Chromium picolinate (30 day supply)
