Carol – Age 45 – Lost 22 Pounds

I have found the Jumpstart Program life changing. Between July and December I lost 25 lbs. and went from a tight size 12 to a size 8. Never again did I think that at age 45 that my weight would be in the 130s. Somehow what you’ve put together for this diet works! Your staff is awesome, too, especially Arlene! I had to watch my good friend, Rahn, do the diet for a number of months before I got into it. I decided that I was going to make it work into my budget and that what I was doing was not working.

I’ve ran marathons, done several boot camps and done a few rounds of a diet that included buying pre-packaged meals but all with not nearly the results of the Jumpstart program. With the exercise I would get toned and lose some weight and with pre-packaged meals, well, the food eventually turns into freezer burn.

The diet was actually easier to stay with than I had anticipated. Restaurants were more than happy to substitute the rice or potatoes for extra vegetables. I never got an odd look. I didn’t feel like I had to change my life – just the choices of what I ate.

I can also now run without pain in my foot…yes, the painful plantar fasciitis is gone now that I am hauling 25 less pounds. I’m currently training for the Boston Marathon (for charity….I’m not that fast) and I anticipate my time to be a lot better and my running to be a lot more enjoyable.

Now when I see people that I haven’t seen in a while I always get a “Wow!” My hair dresser had to change my hairstyle to “fit my face” What joy it is to go shopping and say to a sales clerk, “Do you have this in a smaller size?” I also do notice that my interactions with others are better too….might be a bit of a confidence thing too.

I have to say that in these difficult times, people are feeling that our world is a bit out of control. One thing we can have some control over is our health and taking care of ourselves. Jumpstart has helped me to do just that and feel better about my life in spite of other things that can get me down. Thanks for creating such a great program! It has to make you feel good to be helping people like me.
